2025 TNSTRONG Youth Summit Poster Contest Winners NEWS

The 2025 TNSTRONG Youth Summit held July 13 to July 15, 2025, in Chattanooga, Tenn., provided 586 participants from across Tennessee with an opportunity to learn from leading tobacco prevention experts and to network with like-minded peers.

The Summit’s goal was to fuel and equip participants to reach peers and adults in an ongoing effort to protect people from the harmful effects of tobacco use.

During the three-day Summit, youth had the opportunity to participate in a poster display contest featuring the theme, Together We Shine to showcase the impact of tobacco products and tobacco prevention including, advocacy, education, and community activities in Tennessee.

A total of 29 contestants entered with awards given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, based on content, grammatical mechanics, and appearance with an emphasis on creatively representing the theme.  An overall Fan Favorite Winner was selected by all youth attending the Summit.

Chloe Zheng of Putnam County placed 1st in the poster contest with her Putnam County Shines Bright like a Diamond poster highlighting her work to spread awareness about the effects smoking has on the lungs to students at local elementary schools in Putnam County.

Spencer Burns of Dyer County won 2nd place with his poster that featured the work and activities the group did at Three Oaks Middle School for No Vape November.

Caroline Wells of Dyer County was the 3rd place winner and highlighted the work she did decorating a Christmas Tree with Quitline Resources during the local community Sorghum Valley Christmas.

The Fan Favorite Winner was Makayla Tsang of Rutherford County with a Say No to Tobacco poster emphasizing things to do while you are not attached to smoking and vaping.
